YOUR OPINION AND CHOICES MATTER THE MOST: On recently carrying out our quarterly residents meeting, it became more prevalent than ever that everyone has a choice and opinion in life. It should always be respected and adhered to because let’s face it we all want to be listened to. Everyone brings their valued opinion to the table. It might possibly be questioned but it may also be the answer at the end of the day to many who have been searching for answers.

We can all relate to this in our own lives and with those we encounter on a daily basis. Keep your eyes and ears open to those offering opinion, they may be your key to the opening of new doors with future ventures which need unlocking. Opinions can build relationships, effect change and allow you to express yourself. Most importantly allow yourself to be listened to. You deserve this for yourself and you may be doing others a favour.

MISSED OPPORTUNITIES CAN BECOME A REALITY: We all endeavour to commit and stand by what we promise to others on any one given day or planned event. Circumstances change consistently for everyone and in this case it was the weather. On attempting to visit Skibbereen Sports & Fitness Centre over the past couple of weeks, it saw us having to stand down on both occasions as the rain was torrential.

Our disappointment didn’t last long as Niall Mc Carthy and Jenny Brickley stepped in and suggested that they visit us instead at SRCC for now until the weather will be kinder to us going forward.

Complementing such wonderful and kind people who offer such gestures seems an understatement. For any of you out there looking to join a club for whatever reason, we couldn’t recommend highly enough Skibbereen Sports & Fitness Centre for their kindness, care, compassion and ability to adjust to everyone’s individual requirements and needs. Thank you all for your continued commitment to us.

Attached are some links for your help and guidance.

POWER OF PERSISTENCE: So 2 weeks of chipping away on a masterpiece…seconds, minutes, hours and days. It took a team of people within SRCC dropping in and out…both residents, staff and family members throughout this time. One might say it was just a jigsaw, it was…but also more than that….it was very beautiful ❤️

It has become evident in today’s society that becoming easily discouraged when faced with challenges is something of a normality. The ability to strive forward when faced with such obstacles is the key to persistence.

If you truly want your dreams or goals in life to become a reality, the key is to face your challenges and don’t ever be afraid. Be strong, keep your head held high, recognise your own power and come out the other side a deserving winner.

This masterpiece of a jigsaw engraved power, stamina, encouraged teamwork and much more to everyone who participated…maybe relate this to your own life, whatever or wherever it finds you on your own personal journey.

Remember always be kind….❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Happy Birthday today to our very own Bridget O’Neill. As it falls on Saint Bridgid’s day, we were joined by transition year students from Skibbereen Community School who made crosses with everyone. We were very impressed by their skills. We finished our afternoon with mass said by Father Donal Cahill. Thanks to you all for visiting and to Bridget for affording us the opportunity to celebrate your special day with you 🎂🥳
